Another New Orleans native, Chris Bailey has been performing and recording music for over 20 years. After successfully running his own private studio since 1993, Chris is also a founding member and co-owner of the Music Shed Recording Studios. His experience ranges across the musical spectrum, from producer to engineer, arranger, songwriter and avid performer. A percussionist in his spare time, Chris has performed with symphonic orchestras, recording and touring bands, and drum and fife corps. He has also pursued his passion in music education for more than 20 years, and currently holds positions as teacher, school director and school owner.

A Grammy© winner* with over 15 years of experience in the music industry, a contagious enthusiasm and above-par professional attitude, Chris's career has covered just about every aspect of audio and acoustics, education, mentoring, and production. Born and raised in New Orleans, Chris is co-owner and head engineer at the Music Shed. He also serves as Production Director for the non-profit Tipitina's Foundation, and coordinates and teaches the Foundation's after-school programs in music and production.

Dr. John and the Lower 9-11 : 'The City Care Forgot'

A recent graduate of Loyola University, with a Bachelor of Science in Music Industry Studies, Jared has been with the Music Shed since March of 2007. Having worked his way up from intern to assistant engineer, Jared now occupies and manages the Music Shed studio offices. Born and raised in New Orleans, Jared has played the drums for 12 years. While in school at Loyola, he worked as a TA for the student-run school recording studio, and served manager for both the Loyola student-run studio and record label. While his degree gave him a marketing and management focus, Jared also has skills as an audio engineer that serve him well at his administrative position.

Mike D, a New Orleans- born drummer, has been performing and collaborating with several groups and projects for 13 years. He is CEDIA-certified and an expert in both Macs and PCs, and specializes in studio set-up, integration and design, Protools set-up and operations. While serving as an independent studio technician for the Music Shed, Mike also owns and runs his own company, Custom Audio and Video, providing technical assistance and support for home theaters, networks and local-area clubs and music venues.
